Prizm Skimmer

Hi, i am currently using those cheap kind of protein skimmer that is attached on the inside of my tank. It's a humble 2 feet tank, am thinking of upgrading to a Prizm Skimmer with surface skimmer attachment, is it too big for my tank? hear from some sources that i dun need such a good skimmer, but i somehow think otherwise...can somebody advice? Thanks! :)

Erm.. Well.. Many people I know and even LFS owners recommend the Prizm skimmer.. Heard that it's a skimmer with a new concept or something..

I haven't really used it myself but am planning to use it in my 2ft tank as well.. Let us know how it goes ok? It should be pretty alright lah.. according to what I've heard around..

There is no such thing as no need to use good skimmer, IMo go for the best skimmer you can afford

IMO... prizm skimmer is not a good skimmer...

I can second that.

I am a owner of a Prizm Skimmer. I have a 2 ft tank.

They Prizm skimmer is good in the sense that it saves space and have a nice look.

However, I have never achieved any of the kopi-o that is shown by the weipro skimmer. There is nothing to do with my setting because there is only one water flow setting for Prizm.

Try reducing the water flow rate or air intake (use a air valve or clamp) of your Prizm Protein Skimmer. For a 2ft tank, precious aqua-estate space is taken up by pump for Weipro Protein Skimmer unless you have a sump.
