Hi, advice needed. My 5 x 2 x 2 ft tank started to leak by the side. Can it be repaired?

My 5' tank leaked a year after my purchase few year ago. I called up the manufacturer and they repaired it.

They will have to bring a spare tank for you to transfer your stuff. U have to empty ur existing tank and they will resilicon it.

Good luck as there is a lots of works and casualties.

Hi Bro

Aqua Marine sells under-water silicon. You can try using this silicon to mend the leak from the external for the interim . Then get ready whatever stuffs needed for transfer of fishes , coral and rocks...etc. Large containers are needed to store water if you do want to keep the water to be trasnfer

This will take weeks to complete. Be prepare.

If you are close to any LFS, you may wish to store your fishes with them first. I notice some reefer store fishes with LFS when they are doing upgrade.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah AM do sell the AquaPharm Epoxy (retailing @ $16.80) that can be used to seal the leak.

Saw one of the repaired tank at AM(Katong) using the epoxy.
