SRC Member sotongnabe Posted January 1, 2008 SRC Member Share Posted January 1, 2008 Hi Bro You can try Sim Lim Tower (Basement 1), go down from the main staircase and turn left. It should be the first few shop on the left. This may not resolve your issue. Atrica is an excellent brand of chiller. If it kick in too often, my opinion as follow: 1. Is your chiller under-size compare to your tank? 2. May be your internal temp control is faulty. 3. The flow rate is wrong. Cheers

Cheers Hi, thanks for the advice... any idea what of of external temp controller is it ?? actually my 1/3 HP Artica chiller is oversized for my 4x2.5x2.5 tank.. and it cold down very quickly,, (Within like 20 min, and kick on again..) Just servied the chiller and internal temp controller is working fine.. maybe as what you said, the flow rate is unsuitable.. i am using ehiem pump with flow rate of about 4000 l/hr is that ok or i should use a lower flow rate ? thanks for the advice.. wilsontantw
Do you mean this external thermostat ? Hmm... this one looks interesting... sorry to hijack the thread, but i'm quite curious on how this termostat works? Can PM me the cost + where to get? Got kick-in and kick-out points? Able to monitor how long the chiller is active/inactive? I'm tempted to sit there and monitor this, but realised, it's such a waste of time! thedidavid
Artice thermostat working by +0.5 degree C above the setting point, if you have very strong lighting it will kicking in & out very fast due to narrow temperature gap.
