Plerogyra sinuosa (Common trade name: Bubble Coral)

Non-branching skeletons. Polyp wise (that is to say the bubbles themselves) there are possibly no perceivable difference between the 2 species, at least I cannot diffferentiate. Commonly available in brown/white/green morphs. Cat-eye patterns available.

Plerogyra simplex (Common trade name: also Bubble Coral, very few places actually realise there are 2 species of bubbles)

Branching skeletons. Commonly available in brown/white morphs. Contrary to what Prof thinks, I believe Cat-eye patterns ARE available, seen them myself.

The species the bubbles are much smaller.....don't know about whether they come in cat eye pattern. So far those I have seen don't have this pattern.

PR is pearl bubble. but looks quite similiar to the "true" bubble. veri roundish, almost want to grab.. pearl bubble tends to maintain at their "smaller" size.

anyway I got this (special request to bring in) today from my LFS at my work place. small frag. Hope it can recover n open up nicely.
