Lighting for 3ft tank

Hi Guys,

My 3ft hang on light failed me a few days ago when I accidently spill water on it.. it gave me a nasty shock too :erm:

Anyway, I just want to find out what are the more popular lighting available in Singapore.. and how much it cost.. THANKS!!

go for T5 or MH

Hi,

Do u intend to have a FOWLR tank adn not move on to having corals in your tank?

If that's the case, u can actually make do with fluorscent lighting. If u intend to have corals in the near future, it's better to invest in better lightings like at least PL lightings.

T5 will be better if u can afford it...

Hi,

Whichever kind of lighting u going for, it's better to get equal ratio of actinic and white light. I personally feel only with enuff actinic light then ur tank will look "blue" and have the ocean kind of effect...V.nice

:P

That's what i think...but must also take other factor into consideration esp if it's meant for corals...
