clams under MH light

hi all,

i have been keeping clams under t5 lights for past 1.5 yrs. i run the lights for about 10-12hrs a day. now, for the clams sake, i have changed my light set to 1x250W MH with blv 20kk.

i used to run mh 3x250W for my sps tank yrs back. i have some clams in it and i run the lights for about 7hrs a day.

now, i don't have any sps... just some softies and clams. so, i don't have to run the light for so long. how long you think i should run my mh with 1x250W 20kk for the clams? is 6 hrs a day enough or 5 hrs is enough? i don't run any t5 lights now. just 1 single mh set

i run 4 hours for my SPS.. But my lighting is 400w x (2 x 39w ATI blue bulb)

I think the stipulatd 4-5 hours as you mentioned is enoughbut must enhanse abit with at least 2 blue bulb for your viewing pleasure la... lol... But it is completely optional lo...

5 hrs sound good to me i feel running 20kk is good enough. anyway, i don't have the chance to view them much. when i get out of the house - early. and when i come home, late at night. so, don't have much chance to view them beside only on sunday when i home late afternoon

But remember though 20kk the PAR is not that strong.... So must put in the mid range of the tank lo... Which i think shouldnt be a problem for you as you put it in one tower....

bro, i wanna check it out... but too far from my home and work place and no time

still thinking of zeovit system my reactor is all ready
