tomowilson
yap...i am using a fan for my 2ft tank but better to have a auto topup installed as well.
SRC Member Zappy Kiwi Posted December 10, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2007 Yap. I don't use a chiller but I use a fan. As a result, the evaporation rate is quite high. Better to have an auto-top up unless u don't find it troublesome to topup the water manually everyday. I keep some corals also (bubble coral, jewels etc) so is not exactly FOWLR setup.. SRC Member angelfishlover Posted December 10, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2007 If u dun wan to have chiller for reef tank mus go for open top if not ur corals start to melt.I also keep a bubble and an open brain. Both dun melt. But if u go for FOWLR i think can but dun go over 32 deg celsius. SRC Member Ah-lim Posted December 10, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2007 I have notice that for tanks without chiller, the colour of the fishes is not as vibrant. Any one has the same experience?

Is it true that is better to feed with live or fozen food? I just use the pallet food and my fox face body have big patch of black colour!
