HELP HELP HELP! RE-SETUP!!

Recommended Posts

I took away all the small gravel and replaced my whole tank with live sand.

10kg of dead rocks , 3kg of cured live rocks on it.

Internal power filter , overhead pump and the protein skimmer is on.

Added in water.

Treated the water.

and added in salt.

AM I DOING ANYTHING WRONG NOW ?

IF NOT , WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NEXT?

Cycle for 3-4 months because you have too much dead rocks.

You added the tap water into the tank and treated the water, and then add salt? Might kill your live rocks and sand. Try to mix the water first. Better use distilled or DI/RO water.

Bro you fill up your tank with live sand and 3 live rocks and then you add freshwater then add additives for the water quality and then add salt?the sand the bacteria will all die due to osmosis the bacteria cell will explode because they have salt water in them and the fresh water will diffuse into them causing them to expand as the water will try to even out the water potential.hope this helps:)
