R clams susceptible to dosing?

just lost my crocea today, suspect may have OD-ed on Purple UP. Anyone can offer any advise wrt to dosing and clams?

iF given a choice between the two.. I would go for Kalk... Its more cheapear... But in the long term dosing the 3 part food chemical great would maintain the alk/kh/ca needs of the reef. . . .

the amount of kalk you need to dose will be dependant on the evaporation amount.... therefore sometimes your reef is not getting its required ions...

When dosing, please make sure that the water current is strong enough to disperse quickly whatever you put in. Certain additives are concentrated and could shock an organism if ingested in large quantities. Some additives are caustic and will even burn organisms eg. kalkwasser....

And yes, clams are very sensitive to changes... so be careful around them.

well i suggest that drop by drop is the best, no fuss no muss, buy a dripper or diy one or if you got $$$ buy a doser.
