No. It can be seriously injured that way. What u can do is try moving it abit and chk how much is it's bysal (not sure of spelling) attached? If it's abit, maybe you might be able to use a scraper or small knife to slice at the lowest point of the attachment (nearest to the rock that side).

Do not that any method of removing an attached clam can lead to injuries. Might be a better choice to saw/hack/chisel the rock.
