Anyone has been keeping an octopus?

Are there any octopus species that stay small in size? Anyone here is keeping an octopus?

well if you're considering having a octopus tank(supposed you've taken everything into consideration and know the how-tos), i suggest having a cuttlefish tank! imo they're really very interesting and its great to watch them hunt. a friend of mine had 1 for about a month, before that fellow and blasted the whole tank black and smelly.

Hey if you really want an octopus then i suggest you read more abt their needs and the right tank for them

Yap.. just make sure that you provide no route for them to escape or they surely will..

I kept a cuttlefish once for like a month.. was feeding perfectly well and everything but then one day it suddenly died.. Just like that... Still dunno why till today but they're really fun to watch..

I've kept them for sometime. I always train them to rise to the top of the tank at a specific time to feed it with those FW shrimps..

They always seem to be eating well but only live for 2-4 months.

Any comments?

MMM i kept a blue ring before too....... Anyway anakin, you did nothing wrong, these octopus are very short live but mine better than you, i kept if for ard 6 months

Yeah Blue Rings are extremely lethal.. And yes they do sell them in Singapore before.. saw one in R*b*rn some time ago and noone dared to buy the octopus.. Poor deadly thing was just there for weeks and weeks on end...

They are extremely poisnous you will get hurt only when you are bit by it, usually happen when ppl are careless with this creature and seldom show this magnificent creature respect.

seriously don't recommend anyone to keep them unless they have a special species tank dedicated for these unique creature.....
