Blue and sailfin tang not eating mysis or pellets!

hi guys! i have 2 blue and 1 sailfin tangs... from the first day i got it(5days ago) they have been picking on algaes in the tank! not eating other stuff! will they die ? but they are very fat when compare first brought.

try chopped nori. Cheap and good! They will sure fattened up.

Try soak the food with 'garlic guard'.

If you have enough algaes, dont worry. Its best that they eats algaes, LOL.

My yellow tang and sailfin also prefers algae. So far very good.

My YT also, don't eat pallet, mysis etc. My tank got enough algea/red bamboo for it, see its stomach always broaded.

hi why dont you give them something to graze on everyday? take a small plastic tank, fillwith tank water, put in 2-3 pieces of liverock, then put under sunlight, algae will grow and then you can feed 1 algae rock to your tank then swap with the other rock when the tangs eat finish:) so they will have constant algae to graze on:)

Buy red bamboo easy.They also absorb extra po4 in ur tank.Saw my convict,sailfin and brown tang eating those and they dun eat pellets.Still surviving.I also worried about my sailfin tang t first when nt eating.Now the brown tang and sailfin tang keeps on getting bigger.

1 rock of red bamboo, cheap and gd from pasir ris.

They began makan straight away.

after 1 week,

Chop nori with galic guard, eat and spit out...slowly..

after another week.

Formluae 2 pellets and other pellets with garlic guard.

after another week.

Organic spinah, $2 dollar 1 huge packet, lasts 1.5 weeks.

Fish poo...haha....and cheato. joking. Every thing also eat...

wah, you feed them different food everyday. next theywill bite your fingers too. My fishes will do that too.
