Better save more money and buy a proper wooden tank with thicker glass.

Else you'll end up wiping the stand each time you do maintenance. Plus there's the danger of the tank bursting....

depending on wat u gonna keep.. i know bawater uses a normal 2ft tanks to house Seahorses... and it is fine..

yep, i use normal 2ft with 5mm & 2ft 5plan tanks- but no high stacking. 6mm won't make a difference when stack up to 1.5ft of rocks-scare the hell out of me if i did that,i guess it will hold the rock weight but u have to account the what IF- What if a rock topples? a 6mm base not gonna bounce the rock back. :D

1FLx acadia white

1FLx acitinic

would be good for fish only- acitinic will bring out colour of the blueish neon fishes(for example- blue devils)

Sun corals, chili corals, non-photosynthetic gorgonians and seafans.

You can probably have little light but these corals are demanding in the sense they require regular feedings of meaty foods or live plankton (or plankton substitutes) to prosper... or you will see them slowly wasting away.

3v|L,Dec 17 2002, 01:23 PM]i oso dono. wat kind is of coral is non photosynthetic coral? can u name a few

synthetic corals.. hehehe.. no feeding and a 6500K FL tube will do too... but as they are fake, u can get them in different colors too.. i recalled someone asked me where to get them.... but i just think that they lose out to the real thing..

kelstorm, 1 year back when I was in HK, I saw a shop who specialised in synthetic corals and all their display tank is filled with this kind of corals. They have a 8ft or more display tank, beautifully decorated with these corals. Out of curosity, I have bought myself a piece, let see if I could post it on the web. Overall the effect is quite amazing, of course you won't see the corals moving.. :D
