copper,.....

you cannot trust all these copper,... because they kill your corals and stain your rocks. If you dont care of LR and have no corals, you can do this.

best way is to take out all the fish and qurantine with hypo or copper. hypo salinity means 1.0109 and below.

Please read the forum as we posted how to get rid of itch. You can get bunch of infos in the net which are more professional.

I agree with xersion, best is if you can provide it with a "stressfree" environment, i.e. maintain good water condition, provide good shelter, remove any harasser and feed it well (soak with garlic)..

With all that in place, your butterfly will heal on it own.. ;)

nwyk,

I'm having a blue tang and powder blue tang both are ich magnet. For my blue tang, it got covered with ich 1 week after intro to the tank but it heal by itself in 2weeks time and now ... swimming strong and FAT.

My powder blue, got ich after 3 days and now after 1 1/2 week, it's recovering but still shy.

To me let it be in the tank and try not catch it out and treat it as i might worsen the case and sending RIP faster. As long as the fish is eating it's alright. All the best bro

My opinion, your call.

My garlic technic isn't working. But i'll keep on trying. Anyway, like bro burnerj says, to let it be in the tank and let it heal it self, i'll try to do that.

Will keep updates. :)

My advise is to quarantine it. If not you will risk the whole tank's fishes to be infested. I got my tank wiped out within 2weeks on 6 yrs ago so I wont risk again.

Well, its your own decision.

My butterfly is in my quarantine tank la. Just bought that fella. But now up to fish heaven already. :(

Condolence.

Anywhere ceremony?

Is your new quarantine tank water OK? Next time, pls monitor fish condition before buying. Best you remain a quarantine tank running in case anything emergency.
