Need advice on arctica chiller

hi guys

just got an arctica commercial chiller 1.5hp

i set it to 28 degrees, the chiller kicks in at ard 28.4, run for hardly 5 min, cools teh water to 27.4 deg and then stops.

and now i on my lights, MH, situation worse, it runs for less than 5min, then water gets heated by MH lights, then kicks in again, gosh its damm frequent

anyone has any advice??

my chiller input pump is located at the first compartment of the sump, and the chiller return is at the last compartment of the sump. shoudl be correct, cos this is teh way i placed my previous chiller

When u pumped in n out water in the sump, u r actually controlling water temperature in the sump instead of the main tank. U can try with an external thermostat and place the sensor in the main tank.

how to use external thermostat, cos the arctica has its own thermostat

i mean how is the external thermostat going to control the arctica chiller cos the thermostat of the chiller cannot be disabled?

i haf aquatronica, but it seem to haf failed cos its registering temp of 35 though water is cool

any bro here who uses aquatronica can advise how to use it to take over the control of teh chiller, when the built in thermostat cant be disabled

There r few of the brothers here using arctica with aquatronica, u can try pm bro Jervis, he is using it to control the temp. Hope tis helps.

what u need to do if u intend to use aquatronica to control the chiller is to set a much lower temperature like 24 degrees but on the aquatronica u need to set the desired temperature ..
