is it ok to run T5 with mh ?

is it a waste of electricity if i run both t5 and mh together?

Humble tank :

Size: 4x2.5x2 ft - Display 

Equipment :

Return 1 : Ecotech marine L1

Return 2 : Ecotech marine M1

CR : Skimz CM122 - Caribsea extra course media with Grotech magnesium

Light : ATI 8x54W

MH is strong. Adding another T5 is lighten up a bit more too. It depends. If you need just a slight more intense, extra t5 is OK.If you need alot of more intense, better upgrade to stronger MH watt.

when i run T5 with the mh , my tank is so bright , is it ok for the corals? or would it be better to just run mh and turn off the t5 when it is running ?

MH usually bright as seen with our eyes. MH light are belong to spot light category. Their shines are in spot form and not like t5, widespread. If your tank has no sps, and below 2ft depth and more than 1.5ft depth, best use with t5. SPS needs more intense light and flow.
