Hey there..

I just wanted to ask about light spectrums and what excatly do they do to your corals?

I mean, certainly most people know that (or would assume that) the higher the spectrum the better but how excatly do these spectrums affect our corals?

And what are the best spectrums recommended? 10000k right?

I'm currently using 2 55watt PL bulbs (one white one actinic) for my 2 ft tank and my corals are doing just fine.. Even have a clam at the top of my tank near the surface and it is doing much better compared to when it was in the LFS.

Heard my lights were 15000k.

:thanks: .

I would replace ur actinic with another white. Actinics are useless for clams...only making them look delicious..but that's about it...Actinics should be viewed as supplementary lamps...not primary lighting.

Always something more important than fish.
