Looks like goinopora. Very difficult to keep in captivity.

Its a goniopora alright..... A very tough coral to keep alive in captivity, and not a good choice for beginner like me

Water condition must be good??? That's not exactly true either.

I've read that nobody knows what condition they like to live in. Good water parameters from experience/advanced hobbyist also they mould and die.

I've read that they tend to thrive a little longer when the DOM (Dissolve Organic Matter) is high. That means you should not use Skimmer. But then again, to keep gonipora alive, you'll have to sacrifice the other corals.

Don't buy gonipora.

Yup advanced reefer could not keep them is mostly due to the fact that their tank are very properly skim thus has little or no dissolved organic matter which the goniopora need to survive.. So to have this coral, your tank should be under skim

DA...don't give people the idea that goniopora can be kept alive in a under skimmed tank.

It would be best to state like yazid that he read it somewhere.......like who hasn't.....and still can't keep it alive.

Key Factor to their survival I think is food..... which we can't provide most of the time.

I have another specie of gonio which has been with me for 6yrs already and doing very well. It is more of a branch type and has grown from a single pc to multiple heads.

From what I have read, there are various sub-spieces of the goni...

There is a species which many called the Jewel coral and this specimen seems to do well in reefs..... and you happen to be having that specimen.....

Jus can't seem to remember where I got this infor from....
