Ozoniser required?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just curious do we really need a ozoniser for SPS?? why???

Cheersss...

Hi bro,

There are many successful sps reefers without ozone. The application of ozone till today is still a very much debated subject.

In fact, California have recently outlaw the used of ozone air purifer at home. And the funny thing is that even this, is contested by many pro-ozone users.

Personally, I have used a Sander 25mg ozoniser in my tank before and I can say that it does clarifies the water but I did not observe any heightened sps activities as compared to without ozone.

Well, this is just my passing thought....

When water is clearer, light intensity to the bottom will be better..... this is only one factor whether corals florish or not..... only when everything is good then improved result can be observed.

IMO, ozone alone is not enough to see any result at all. ;)

PS: water clarity can be achieve thru' other means too....
