Hi Guys

I just did my house and was charge a different amount from the quotation given to me.

It seems the quote "to provide labour/material" does not include the light bulbs.

My place is a EC and all the basic wirings are already there. Just got them to tap the point and modify on it.

Therefore need to know how much you guys paid to get a whole house rewired before i bring my case to the designer.

Would appreciate how big is your flat and if total rewiring from the MCB.

Thanks

Tapping extention of existing point shouldn't be too costly. Last I heard was $50/- per point but some do it for cheaper. Includes wire n socket outlet.

Total rewiring for EC will cost you around $1k to $1.5k. Note: Re-wiring include removing of all existing wire, MCB n socket outlet. If your EC is built-to order unit with all wiring cover then according to HDB you're not suppose to dig them out. But you can rewire over them which means the wires will remain in your wall.

bro for EC flats there is no need to modify the points de mahz.. unless u are using other special lighting like hanging lights.. even for down lights or i-box most contracters wont supply the bulb for u instead they will recommand u other shop and u will have to pay for it.. they will only install for u...
