Bro do you have a separate pump for return? The Eheim 1250 doesn't seem too strong for me considering the height and distance the water gotto travel  :)

Is there a way to elevate my Teco chiller by 2.5ft? That will save you 5ft worth of distance and reduce the overall height significantly  :nc:

nope, dont think i be able to elevate your Teco chiller by 2.5ft higher..casue i need to hide it under my dinning table.. i have an separate pump for the return is a HF RIO20... so u mean that an 1250 is good enough to run my chiller at all that total distance?

thanks man...

IMO...you're better off with a 1260 or 1262 for the matter. Factoring headloss etc...the 1250 output flow rate would be rather low and that would only mean that it'll take u longer to cool the tank down. I believe a 1260 should be a decent sized pump that'll match your chillers flow through rate as well as manage the distance it needs to travel. Good luck with it.

just a went to AM... and got some 16/22 eheim pipe and a aquabee 3000 pump for my RA680 chiller.. what u guys think .. i also got an control valve pipe to control the flow of the pump if the flow is too strong .. but do u guy think that the pump being flow control this way will it cause the pump to have problem or spoil in the long run?

In your 3rd scaping, avoid having a 'valley' that is facing the front directly. i.e. u can see right through it to the back of the glass. Instead you should angle the valley diagonally.

one of the rationale is that when a fish swims through the 'valley' and the valley is facing the front, you only see the front of the fish and that's not very much to look at. but if your 'valley' is angled, as the fish swims through that 'valley', you can see its full body against the background of the rocks.

I read this in a book somewhere in kino.
