needlewheel pump for venturi skimmer?

Hi to all , is it possible to use needlewheel pump to a venturi skimmer? Anyone know which LFS selling needlewheel pump? Thks.

Let me have a shot of this using my common sense analogy....

Neddlewheel....

1) Pump input has somehow been cater to take in air -> reduce power

2) impellor is tweak towards break up air rather than force -> reduce power further

pump need force to penetrate a venturi design thingy pipe in skimmer. [ I don't know how to explain but I believe u understand]

The situation will end up that u need a higer rated needlewheel pump to drive the venturi skimmer.

Correct me if wrong? I welcome comments....

PS: Pls do a thread review on this if anyone has it.

I don't know will this concept of skimming outperform the conventional venturi or not.....

But it may worth a go if two pump is used.... one pump delicate to generate bubble using venturi method while the needlewheel pump sits in the sump to draw water ###### more bubbles

How about if using needlewheel pump and we cover the air intake of the venturi skimmer it is like juz using the skimmer chamber .... anyone did that b4?
