But remember not to put 2 true percula together. Also, I think tomato clowns are the worst. They will even attack your hand in you go near their anemone. My two maroon are OK. (one white stripe, 10cm and one gold stripe, 5 cm).

I think (marine) therefore I am

I find my little tomato quite cute and peace loving.

I don't think it will attack my finger but more to check out for food.

It's ok with a slightly bigger clown (orangy rather than the common brownish type which I thought was the true clown!!) which was introduced later. :P:rolleyes::D:lol:

I bought 3 small false percula clowns (same tank) few days ago, bad mistake. 2 of the bigger ones paired up to bully the smallest one. It is now swimming alone on the other end of the tank with slight tattered fins. Learn from my mistake, don't buy 3 clowns :(

Why all the venom? Reefing is just a hobby, dude.

Is there any thread on care for green bubble coral (err..I dunoe the scientific name  )

What's the minimum requirement?

Need some help before it melt away..... :(

Plerogyra spp. and Physogyra spp. are commoly called bubble corals. They prefer low flow and medium light(Strong FL/PL to 150W MH). Can be fed meaty seafood. Produces long and potent sweeper tentacles, so watch spacing between.

Why are your bubbles melting? How's your water quality? How are the other corals and fish doing?

Hi,

I bought the green bubble about a month back. It looked ok during the 1st 2 weeks since the bubbles were quite "bushy" (a lot)...lately I discovered some brownish-red stuff (slime?) floating in the tank...at first I didn't bother but soon I discover a small portion of the bubbles is gone...judging from the exposed skeleton (ususally covered by milky color skin) I know something is wrong (bad experience from the hammer heads I used to have)....

I guess I have a bit of problem with the nitrate..and I only installed the sander skimmer recently...hopefully the mangrove will work and the skimmer can help and temperature dun go too high cos I dun have chiller for my 3 ft tank...no sump yet..now tahan with a Eheim 2222....phew

I kept salinity at 1.0215 cos temperature is around 27-28C.

Ph around 8.2

Calcium level seems alright if I measured correctly :P

Other corals like mushroom and leathers are doing fine

I have a small maroon red polyp with a luminous green dash in the middle...dunoe what coral..but doing very well..

Fishes are in good health.. I manage to keep a spotted dragonet for quite a few months and it is still happy...and my tiny little box fish is growing....fire fish still going strong (2 died in my old 2 ft tank within a week)......

start to gain more confident over time but keeping hard coral still a challenge! ;)
