I'm using a resun c-500. Satisfied with the noise and cooling ability for my 4 foot tank, but that's cos my chiller is in the toilet

Can't really compare with the previous line of resun chillers as this is my first of this brand.

Hi All ! Anyone using the latest range of Resun chillers? I'm looking at buying a I HP Chiller. They say the latest range is better in terms of noise level and cooling capacity.

Any expert advice?

i used to have a CL 280 which is the newer version for CL 300. i think the noise is manageable consider that the chiller sit in my room. Just that resun chiller does not have very good internal thermostat. Invest in a external thermoatat will solve the prob instantly.

  • 2 months later...

just bought a resun C650 & working well.the temperaure reader is by 0.5 degrees reading rather than the old one, which +- by 1 degrees.so more accurate reading.and i put the suction pump in the main tank(not sump) so it reads directly from the tank,,agin more accurate reading and uses less voltage as the reading is better.
