Dear Fellow reefers

Started to use AZNO3 for 4 days already but still has not seen any cloudiness in my tank nor skimmer producing extra skimmate.

Could it be the polyfilter that I am using or phosphate remover or something else that I have overlooked.

Please advice. Cheers.

I have used it before. It will eventually brings NO3 to zero but it will not sustain. You will need to apply maintenance dossage to maintian it. Furthermore the process brings stress to corals and fishes. It not worth it, let nature takes it's course.

thot its juz a normal chemical..that reduce the nitrate without forming any particles in the water?

zodiac is right. I tried that product before, it did stress some of my corals n nitrate will come back once you stopped using it. With the price at $40 per bottle, its not a long term solution.

Did read somewhere before that the whole process will somewhat stress the corals. However, at this time, my tank has very little corals and tried weekly change of 20% water for the past month and NO3 still remains at 50 ppm. I am only using this as a last option. Maybe can reduce the NO3 to 20 to 10 ppm then use the dosage to maintain at this level untill my DSB is fully functional.

it brought my no3 down without affecting my corals. it caused cloudiness in my tank 30 mins after usage every single time! took about 2 hours to clear. its a good short term measure to control no3 while waiting for dsb to kick in imo.
