Weipro 2011 skimmer

Hi, need help on this, current on my 2.5ftx1.4ftx1.5ft tank, running on weipro 2011, rio internal 6hz pump. running for 3week liao but it dun seems to pump anything out lay. have added 1 blue tank, 2 clownfish and 2 soft coral 1wk ago, .....y is this so?

I've found that it takes a 1200l/hr pump to get the 2011 going good. Tune the gate valve (at the output) to bring the bubble burst level closer to the skimmer neck.

Thank madmac but this Rio 6HF is running at 6watt 1400l/hr, the skimmer indicate a water level mark. So i believe it is enuff to run it...but sad to say alot of tiny bubble, but its not forming any foam at all....Y? pls help

try this ..

add another Air pump to the air intake . it will create more bubbles

Thanks for the advise, but izzit due to the internal pump not strong enuff or there is nothing to skim yet?

Tiny bubbles is good... better still if its dense. I just checked specs of Rio 6 is 15W for 350G/h at 1 feet.

The last pump I used for a 2011 is an eheim 28W rated at 20l/min... used for a several yrs and serve me well. Venturi skimmers do very well with a pressure rated pump.

bro too low.tune til about 1 cm below the neck that's for me last time.

Yup, I am using WeiPro 2011 now, you have to tune it to the neck before ypu get skimmate then you adjust again for wetter or dryer skimmate.
