Hi Ppl,

Just an update.

Current tank mates.

Couple of snails and 2 frags of Zoos. (To test water one)

So far so good. However, got one of my cowrie disappear.. hmmm cannot find.

Notice that my tank now has a lot of small white (dunnoe what) on my tank. When my snails happily eating near them, they swim or jump away. May i noe what are those?? It looks like 'Lices'

Are they harmful?? Can take a pic cos they are too small liao.

Anyway intend to but my first fish this weekend. Anyone can recommend a hardy fish.

I intend to keep the following in future.

2 X Percula clown or maroon clown

1X Yellow tang

1 X Flame angel

maybe some schooling fishes...

Anyone can advise if the above will have difficulty keeping together in a 3 footer. And if they are hard to keep?

Any webby to find out more about keeping fishes and corals?? (Eg: what to feed? what they need?) So far only read about how to start up a tank only. un wish to see fishes die in my hands..

ur 'Lices' = pods

Hey tks razo..

Did a querry on pods and up abit on it.. but found out that there are good and bad comments on them. This is what i gathered, Pls correct mi if i am wrong:

Pods is good for food source.

Pods indicate ur water condition is fine

Pods disturb ur buttons and make them cant open nicely.

So are they good anot??

Do i have to remove them??

Pls advise?

Dear all,

Guess my cycling should be ready in about a week time. However, I am feeling abit loss on what to do next.. hmm.. Funny rite. Normally i guess ppl will be like "yeh finally can add LS liao".

However, I want to know what another stuff is needed when LS is added? (Eg: what kinda food for fishes, nutrients for corals) Dun wish to go seek advise from the LFS cos feel that they might be trying to earn more from u and ask u to buy those useless stuff.

I intend to do a mix tank of softies and some LPS so what would u guys could advise me in buying to upgrade my hardware. (Calcium reactor is needed anot?, Dosing of kalk? Pls advise)

Anyway, Flame angel like all angels are not definitely reef-safe, so maybe you should think twice b4 buying them. They are not cheap too. Just my 2cents..
