Hi Bro/Sis/Expert,

Please kindly advise me what I should do? Attached is the picture shown.

I honestly confess that I do have overfeeding as I was hoping some of my fishes and corals can eat Mysis and Brine Shrimps.

My lighting:

3pm to 11pm - PL Light (39w) x 3

6.30pm to 9.30pm - 1 x 150w MH

Is this too much?

What can I get rid of the brown stuff and return my tank to normal.

I have a small (1ft) tank with Macro Algae and Cheato in it, but seems it is not growing. Using a 18w light, those for used for Fishes and Plants type.

Please advise

:thanks:

It has got nothing to do with ur lighting its ur nutrient is super high n may b ur phosphate too.if u were to simulate ur lighting with day n night i don c y does it got to do d lighting.

choose ur fish wisely get the owner or urself try to feed if it react to food than u know wat to do.but pls don flood their tank with pellet.

my advice to u don buy any fish at the moment get ur water condition back to where it suppose to b.

u don have to listen to me n there r other reefer out there have a better idea.

goodluck. :peace:

Thanks Bro Storm. I am keeping watch on the Water Parameter. I dare not rush into things till I manage to get everything in order.

I was thinking of using FR and Rowa, but understand that with my condition, putting it in there is useless and waste money. It is good for new start up to prevent things from going wrong (am I right?)

Right now is what I can do. I have the Red Slime medicine, does his helps? Changing water, how much would be needed? What other solution do I have?

Any expert to help?

Y don u check on ur NO3 n PO4 level than frm there u can determine how much water need to b change.

u should run d FR with phosphate media after changing water n change ur carbon n

change all ur filter wool. With d present of rowa it definitely slow down or rather control on ur phosphate level.well usually if start of a tank cycle its adviseable to run d FR.

If there r still fish in ur tank pls slow down their feeding coz ur main thing, u know wat i mean.i never use red slime so i can't say much abt it.

its not an easy task or success over nite

Hi Bro Reddevil, the NO3 is about 20ppm and not sure of PO4.

After reading some of bro threads, found the cause could be that I dump Brine shrimp/Mysis cube into the tank and cause a spike in PO4 (can't believe that it may contribute 1000ppm of PO4) :cry2:

Will be careful on feeding.
