What skimmer are you using?

are u using any skimmers for ur tank?

personally im not using any......yet. currently doing 25% water change using nsw every fortnightly.

there are quite a few skimmers that im looking at:

AquaC Nano Remora Protein Skimmer

CPR Bak-Pak 2 Protein Skimmer

ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer Regular

Red Sea Prizm Hang-on Protein Skimmer

I think you can get hang-on skimmer, I dunno wheter red sea available here is hang on type.

I have ana fission skimmer must be ordered from USA and it sucks...not recommended....

I can't put hang on type for nano cube without throwing the the hood.

so far from the other forums i've been to, most pple are using the CPR Bak-Pak 2 Protein Skimmer. but not sure whats the price like in sg. don't even know if it's available. haha

I second David's comment abt the Nano fission skimmer.

Suck big time....difficult to use cos the parts keep falling apart

and the water level must be at a particular level..

Even when its working... all you get is wet skimmate.

Most of reefers get foul smelling skimmate... but the stuff pulled out by

the nano fission skimmer is scent-less.

Not even sure if its working.... regret getting this

Maybe those skimmer from Dymax might do a better job and they cost lesser too.

Personally, I've been using the Aqua C Urchin for 3 years keeping SPS/LPSsofties. Really recommend it to people with nano tanks. Totally hassle free! The hang on version is called the Aqua C Remora I think

If you're considering "Current USA Fission Nano-Skimmer", then maybe Resun SK-05 should be in your list too. Below is my simple review of it:

IMHO, we probably need to equate their performance with price, local availability, and % real estate they take up in our main display tank. Every reefer has a slightly different scale for this, thus resulting in different purchase decision.
