Finally Today Filled the tank up with NSW Took 1200 Litre to fill up and get circulation .

Currently planning on Stock .

Most likely Full SPS .

Some Specs :

Tank : 4x4x2Ft

Sump: 3x2x2ft

Total Water Volume : 330G / 1245Litre

System :

Skimmer - Deltec AP851 / ATI BM 250

Calcium Reactor- Deltec AF601s (havent bought)

Chiller - Artica 1horsepower

Return - OceanRunner 6500

Lighting - 400W MH / 3x250W MH / 8 x ATI T5

WaterMotion - 2xTunze WaveBox / Ts24

Kalk Reactor - Aquamedic Kr

Fluidize Reactor - Lookin for deltec if dun have Buying one from Reefdepot.

Liverock - 80kg of Coralfarm Rocks . Cycling currently.

Need Help from everyone to comment or come hands on

Bo pian , cannot run Red dragon was lookin at that or Reeflo but cannot run externally ..so had to go with insump

my Downward pipe is only 25mm each x 2 cannot TOO fast pump will overflow ..

Volume of water on the main tank is almost 1000Litre so , calculated turn over is roughly 6 times per hour so for now still ok

Bo Pian thats the maxium i can go . at least its not 1 time thats why with a overkill skimmer .. Unlikely to haev any fish inside .. except maybe 1 AT and save up and find a GEM tANG

Actually the six times turnover between tank and sump is sufficient. To assess this one needs to look at the whole purpose of the sump in the first place..its just a separate body of water connected to your main tank to externally house your equipment.

As long as the flow rate in the sump is sufficient to meet the needs of the equipment being housed, it will serve it's purpose fine. Seeing that you're going with a Deltec 851 with a recommended flow rate of 1000 odd litres per hour, the 5000 or so litres of water flowing through your sump per hour is more than sufficient to feed your skimmer with fresh tank water to process.

Plus, you mentioned a refugium in the centre compartment, if you go this route then you wouldnt wanna have too high a turnover anyways as refugiums normally has a gentle flow rate anyways.

Kenny, Try not to mix your SPS tank with leather type of softies as they will "slime" over time and the "slime" release will cover and kill your SPS.
