Attached is a few pictures to illustrate the harvesting of Copepods

• Harvesting is done by smaller freeze-trawlers using floating nets in the upper water-layers.

• Harvesting takes place on the continental shelf off Northern-Norway during spring and summer (april – june/july).

• Low towing-speed ensures that juvenile fish will escape the trawl, but jelly-fish is sometimes a by-catch (which in case is removed on-board).
