Hey Jervis...thanks for the lead on the blanket at CF. Unfortunately the specimen was injured so i didn't wanna take the risk. How is ur specimen doing? got a recent picture? :)

My 3 Goby I got from SL also did not feed for several days until I used Henry's frozen food. Now eating other food too.

I like your sand, very clean and uniform. Is it artificial too? What do you call it and where to get it?

The Gobies are now eating frozen mysis bits... nah the sand bed ain't artificial :lol: It came with the tank... so it's Red Sea brand.

Here's a latest pix of my Green Blanket Anemone... sadly it begun moving last 2 days... now settled at the back of the tank... viewable from the right side :cry:

Yes I did... I can't keep the first one alive in my main tank :cry: Hopefully this female specimen will have a better chance in here being the only dominant specimen :)

Was the anemone previous position receiving plently of flow from the two wavemaker? Is the current position receiving weaker flow? If you want the anemone to move to a better viewing position then u may need to experiment with the wavemaker position.....

I've given the Anemone to a reefer... he collected it 2 days ago :) Not taking the risk as this specimen loves moving around :angry:

Anyway, S. gigantea prefers bright lighting and more flow in the tank as compared to a S. haddoni. In some instance, lighting as intense as MH are used for this species with turnover rate of up to 25-35x. They are less tolerant of fluctuating water parameters too :pinch:

Was the foot of the anemone in great shape?

Oh dear didn't know this Blanket Anemone needs MH :shock: The foot of the anemone is both sticky and healhy when I removed it from the tank... I had great difficulty loading it into the plastic bag though <_< Really sticky :sick:

I better alert the reefer about its requirements ;)
