Here we go again...

Since I didn't manage to sell the Red Sea Max Tankset... decided to make good use of it and start new :D

Luckily I have kept the tank running even after removing LS and rocks... at least the sand bed is still "alive"!

Introduced some new rocks a few days ago... isn't it nice?

Decided to use Artificial Rocks this time round... I bought 3 pieces (1 large, 1 med & 1 small)... once the scaping (yes 3 pieces also need scaping) is done... I use Aquapharm Epoxy to bind the rocks together :)

Changed 90% of tank water this afternoon... using water from my main tank to speed up bacteria culturing... especially since I am using artificial rocks :nc:

The rocks look really good but I heard they release PO4 in time to come. You may need to hang some Phosphate absorber in the mini sump :lol:

They release phosphate? Where you get the news from? User or non-user? :lol:

This is not the first time I used this Artificial Rocks... I used to have a very large piece inside my 2ft Juwel tank... ran the tank for a couple of months... not a single microalgae spotted growing on the rock... if the rock is really leaching with PO4, algae should grow like crazy within 2 weeks :)

Time for an update...

Parameters:

NO2 - 0.01ppm (Salifert, read from side)

NO3 - 0.2ppm (Salifert, read from side)

PO4 - 0.03ppm (D+D High Sensitivity)

Bro Izzat, perhaps the artificial rocks are releasing PO4... in very small quantity... will introduce some form of PO4 removal this week :)

Beautiful carpet you have there, it is probably S. gigantea, much more demanding as compared to S. haddoni

Did you pick it up before Sunday afternoon as only a brownish-red carpet was left at that time :heh:

Yeah... it's written as Gigantea on the receipt... seems quite stable in my tank... I feed it frozen mysis every day (small quantity) :)

I think I can remember a piece of brownish-red... but it was gone today... hehe... I went CF again just now :lol:

The anemone looks like a very soft and comfortable bed to sleep at night...for the clownfishes... :lol:

Yeah it's really comfy... but this bed will shrink sometimes :lol::lol::lol:

The skimmer is working quite well so far... I might tune it to a little more dry... but I shouldn't worry too much as the skimmate is equally disgusting smelling :sick::sick::sick:
