I tried soaking pellets in Kent Zoecon n it worked v well for me...the HLLE wounds actually recovered leaving no scar, contrary to what I've read elsewhere...

I drop a few drops of zoecon on a spoon n try to soak as many pellets on it as I can...the pellets should be slightly wet but still maintains it's solid form...I feed this way as much as it can eat, at least 3 times a day, n my abt actually recovered in less than a week...

I wasn't sure if it's the proper way to use zoecon but I took a risk n the result is amazing...n my fat fat abt is now still happily swimming in my tank..

Prevention is also important. Tangs and other vege-loving fish need to have sufficient fibre in their diets to prevent HLLE, so try to supplement pellet food with nori or lettuce or macroalgae.

Be teachable always, nobody has a monopoly on wisdom. But learn to distinguish "fact" from "opinion".

Got a bottle of Zoecon. Smells like cod liver oil. Feeding fish with pellets soaked in it. Noticed that whereas the pellets were all snapped up very quickly even those on the bottom previously, now the fishes only have a lukewarm interest and don't have much interest in those pellets that has dropped to the bottom. Not exactly an appetizer, is it?

Anyway, hoping for the best - that Zoecon does its job!
