Burner's 3.8ft x 2.5ft .2.5ft

Howdy dudes,

Finally my tank arrival, collected all the equipments, LRs, bought all the coral chips and misc... misc.

Here's the link to my previous tank... -->> Burner's 2ft x 1ft x 1.5ft Nisso tank. Unfortunatly i had to give up the hobby due to NS and finally decided to make a come back after 4 years when i got my new place in Hougang (Nearby reefers can contact me to go out for KOPI). My beloved highness also agreed to this hobby as she like it too (subjected to view only --> ). But as we are renovating and buying furnitures, our pocket also burn big big hole liao...

I started to look for decom tanks and contacted fellow reefers that had to tear down their hobbies due to circumstances.

Firstly, I have to apologise sincerly to reefers that i had AEROPLANED during my ""LOOKING OUT" phase.

Roy: Sorry i'm unable to take your tank as my cabinate maker quoted me quite high to make a changai stand.

Siaoliao: For not able to take the skimmer, as my wife sponser me the beckeet skimmer from a fellow reefer.

VanDeam: TUA you so many time for the tanks that you have posted up. Also the LRs.

I'll keep posting my doing up progress so please kindly provide me your utmost opinions and sugesstions so that i can do it up better. Also gaining precious experience and knowledge and grow together with my tank.

Sump View. Previous owner had the sump made with 8mm glass. I say it's really heavy duty and tough sump. I'm thinking of partitioning 1 part of the tank out to make a refugium.

Currently my LRs are residing in my sump as i have no other spare tanks @ home.

Bought 4 Pack of Grade 1 from AM, after cleansing ritual and pour into tank... seems too little.

Went back to AM in wee hours to get another 4 pack (Also to get my favourite "Tissue" prata).

Piping and valves.

Went over to Hai Chew (Serangoon North Ave 1) to get all the pipings *Very friendly uncle and you can just describe to him of the pipe flow and he'll get the right measurements and length for you. (Provided you describe correctly).

After much frustration on the old tank (Leaking return pump, cracked overflow), i decided to ask my tank maker to customize another exact tank for me except that this time a center overflow. I like the dimension of the tank and live the 2.5 x 2.5 height and width.

It takes 3 strong and professional men to deliver my tank and the tank width is already 30inches and my door is only 31inches without tearing down m grill. I like the center overflow and it's a partition tank and i do not want the overflow to restrict any view. I had requested the overflow box to be slightly smaller than the old tank.

Here are some shots before i filled it up with DI water.

After 1 week of cycling of tank my parameters are as below

Nitrate 0.5ppm

Nitrite 1ppm

Ammonia 0ppm

Phosphate 0ppm

Calcium 260ppm (Still tryin to increase it)

Made a few trips down to AM to get some XX large boulders of LRs, around 15kg each and some Large LR around 8 - 10KG

Did some scaping and i think sill got rooms for improvement. Please comments, much valued.

Quite messy look from the front... hmm maybe after putting in some corals looks will change ba...

Also went shopping with wife last nite @ AM. I think saw a few SG reefer there... but dunno their name... Thought MAG might be inside i heard his name.

2 x Damsel

1 x Velvet Damsel (Cos 3 for $5 mah ... and wife like the velvet damsel)

2 x Tube Amneone

3 x Sally light foot.

Looking to buy at least 4 more sally light foot and 3 more cleaner shrimp as cleaning crew.

No lar RD, i gave it to beast13. The old tank was giving me alot of problem. And those problems gave me nightmares of me dreaming coming back with a flooded living room and bursting into my media room.

Old tank problems has nothing to do with the tank maker... But i have to say "Ah LIM" of dragon aquatic really provide me a budget cost and good service.

MAG, definately i'm not going for FOWLRs but after spending thing on the tank and my reno... broke liao ... have to wait till next pay check them can stock up.
