Advise for my sun corals

My sun corals only manage to "open up" till this shape after 2 weeks in my tank....is there any way to get it to bloom?

thanks for all the advice! but i find it abit hard to target feed this bugger....normally can tempt it to open out to the above state then any more food added in will just go straight to my hungry tang and clown.......

there is 1 simple and easy way to prevent the food from being eaten by other fish...

Cut the top part of a 1.5L bottles, cover ur sun coral with it then use a tong to place the food in this works for prata too.

Thanks! will try it immediatly...gotta gobble down one 1.5 litres of drink 1st....haha think tonite after all my EPL matches i shd have a coke or green tea bottle neck ready!

Hi Bro,

If your Sun is still not open, my suggestion is that you bring it out to a small pail and flood the pail with food. After 3-4 times, it should start to open BIG BIG....

is that your tank?sun corals are my favourite. currently i hv super sun + yellow sun + 2normal sun. hvi problem tryi to open up the normal sun. target feed few times when im in sin but still quite stubborn.

what other way i can do to bring the tantacles out?

hi what u can do is put your sun coral into a pail filled with cyclo, mysis, frozen meat.. to entice it to come out to feed, after a wile when u pour these food into your main tank it will auto open liao

wow! you are not fishmonger! you are suncoral monger, LOL

I think high flow is the requirement. I had used to feed everyday but after heavy workload, never feed my old suncoral for 1 yr and still OK. Maybe when I feed mysis to my fish, some tiny ones flow into them.

Feeding maybe one thing but most importantly do check your water parameters too! High NO3 and PO4 will stress up the sunnies.
