its pretty easy since u have scale down to 2 models to choose from.. just go to a big electrical store and compare them side by side... ... from this 2 i choose toshiba... if i have a choice i would get a projector instead of my 3yo 51" panasonic proj. tv :(

I am thinking of getting a 43" projection TV, need advise on which one is of a better value and reliable.

Toshiba 43VS9UE $2500

Hitachi C43FD3000 $2700 (free DVD player)

Any bro that are expert on this area advise me.

Thanks.

my family was looking for rear proj

till we stumbled on the pana crt. cheap & good. no wow factor though.

make sure you get a real BRIGHT rear proj tv.

rear proj tv has a sweet spot for optimal viewing.

you need to factor the distance (tv to sofa).

the more established brands are toshiba, sony & panasonic.

read from papers pana was voted no.1* in home AV.

Well,

for rear-projection TV, Toshiba is the leading brand.

for plasma TV, Hitachi is the leading brand.

Anyway, I think i have decided to go for the Toshiba, because of price and good feedback. Seems that no one really use a Hitachi rear projection TV.

I have thought of the 100" projector which my friend offer to sell me (2nd hand) but think that it is too much to watch news, etc. Of course, movie will be great lah.

Thanks all for your generous comments. :)
