New setup

I have kept freshwater fish for many years and finally decided to convert to marine.

It is now 6 weeks since I converted my tank (4ft x 18" x 18") I know the tank is not perfect dimensions but wanted to start of without breaking the bank, and learn how to manage marine.

Put in Dynax skimmer, FR, CL650 chiller. Live rocks purchased from reefer from this forum who was decommissioning. Also got damsel, during cycling from another kind reefer FOC. Finally put some corals and small Clownfish in today.

Anyway comments would be much appreciated!

Dymax skimmer with 2500 ltr/hr pump. is generating huge quantity of Micro bubbles but not much waste yet as I have only just put livestock in. CL650 chiller ( was tempted to buy a used one as there are so many on sale but bought brand new). Phosban FR. My sump is quite small at 2ft 3" long with 3 chambers, so my skimmer and FR are out of sump and I have also put my chiller outside of the cabinet.

Lights are 36W PL but seem to be working well but I get your point about the MH.
