i read that clownfish and anemones actually do not live in symbiotic relationship. woa. to me they look like best friends.

once read this book from library (forgot title argh) about clownfish, it says that clownfish exhibit such behaviour only in tanks, and also NOT to feed anemone, but to 'use' it to grasp its food. funny.

clownfish benefits. anemone..eats watever leftover clownfish has.

uh. correct me if i wrong..

my maroon always do feed its anemone esp when i feed it w my mixed recipe.... it takes the biggest chunks and drag it to the anemone, even keeping watch of damsels esp skunk shrimps from taking the food... funny thing is when the anemone doesnt seem to eat the left overs, the clown fish would take the chunks the farthest he could and spit it out, trying to evade the scavengers from lurking around the anemone :D:D:D

symbiotic that is.... nice to see such relationships under ur care....

well, it does happen in the wild too..

not only in tank, but so far, from my own tank,

maroon take care of the anemone best.

Clowns used the anemone as a home to protect themselves from larger fishes. In turn, they feed the anemone, bringing back home a bacon or something. Both can survive well without each other though.

First time i saw clowns doing it, I was pretty excited n ask my wife to take alook.
