any advise how to keep them?

How to keep them? Just put into the reef tank, make sure you have sand for them. They will help to stir clean your sand.

I have bought it once many months back for keeping my sandbed clean.... did not last though I have a 3" sandbed.... it just slowly die off after some months, probably due to insufficient food in the sandbed to fill its hunger.

Anyone has successfully keep them alive, can shed some enlightment?

I have my sand dollar for several months now. Still going strong. But my sandbed tends to grow those brown stuff (diatoms?) quite easily, so I guess he has enough to eat
