Mellow Posted November 9, 2003 Share Posted November 9, 2003 wan,Nov 9 2003, 10:12 AM] at's tank can beat dat to hell! yup, totally agree with deepblue, i think it's less of a competition but another gateway for us to learn... i don't think it is fair to the TOTM just by comparing on how the tank looks and passing remarks on how it is lousier than AT's tank because think the TOTM also considers factors like healthy coral growth, coloration, good water parameters etc...of course i agree that AT has got better aqua scaping and great looking corals... but i guess there's a whole lot more to reefing than just a nice looking tank...we should also consider that overall well being of the ls, good water quality etc...it's not a matter of how nice it'll look now but how nice and healthy a reef u can still maintain it in years to come... Achilles Tang Posted November 9, 2003 Share Posted November 9, 2003 Errr.... thanks for the compliments regarding my tank but frankly, every RC TOTM are beautiful in their own right. I wish that we locals have access to some of the beautiful SPS corals that they are able to get and we can't due to supply and demand/better margins from US/Europe/Japan. I won't regard my tank as perfect yet and there are quite a few things that I can improve on in terms of hardware to create the ideal conditions but its progressing slow and steady... so I will have to give my corals a bit more time to display their 'happiness' and hopefully reward me with bright colours and good growth. SRC will be announcing our own TOTM competition very very soon... The mods and I will be finalizing the terms and conditions, judging criteria so.... hang on tight!
