Get a very good skimmer to export dissolved organics 3. Setup a refugium with macroalgae and harvest regularly. 4. Use AZNO3. 5. Use a denitrator. 6. Change water regularly. SRC Member pospeh Posted November 10, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 10, 2003 Rinsing will eliminate most of the nitrates and phosphates in the frozen water. It doesn't affect the nutritional value of the shrimp. With AZNO3, you need a good skimmer, or else it will do more harm than good. AZNO3 means to be alrite lar.. so far I only know of the brand "Sera" available in Singapore - haven't come across any other brand yet.
