Hi bros out there..today while i was about to feed the fish,my finger touch the water then there is a electricity tat shock me..then i tried again to put my finger again n i could feel it again.

likely it's a pump that's sitting in water...happened a few times to a friend.

Its usually ur return tt is electricity leak don waste time get it change coz

its not safe especially to u.

Buy a stray current probe from any reliable AQ before u get 'stung' again dude !

ohh... so sori i left out the pump. Its ur return pump coz happened to 2 of my frens

same thing frm the return pump to the main tank tt is electricity leaking.

it can be any equipment, even wavemakers... should turn off one by one and check which equipment is leaking.. some LFS sells the earth current probe, check petmart or aquamarine

Take out all electrical items. Ensure that the power plugs and the 3-pin or 2-pin socket are dry. (Many a times as salt has a natural attraction to water, mositure will gather near the salt spray). Then slowly plug in one by one of the electrical item. Use your finger then to "test" the water. after a while you will hate that "tingling feeling" and if you check well, you will realise which electrical item is "leaking" - now you can look at it properly. If the main pump is "leaking" you have no choice but to replace it.

This was the way I trouble shooted it the last time round. at the end realise that it was the main return pump giving problems.

Sometimes lighting also can cause such problems.

juz to add tt always remember tt ur main return pump is d one tt

is having d highest wattage n drawing most current compare to those equipment

tt is submerge in water.

i think it is the lighting.coz when i switch off the light the is no current.and one of the extention wire is burnt.i think i should replace it.
