hi guys. i have juz bought a piece of jewel coral. isit a LPS? how do i take care of it? according to the lady, she sae its pretty easy to keep. do i need to target feed? im using 2 tube PL now. with strong current blowing. \

also, my clownfish keep attempting to go into the jewel coral and everytime it does that, my jewel coral closed up. in the long run, will it be harmful for my jewel?

lastly, do i need to target feed my elegance?

jewel is a LPS.. dose phytoplankton for it to filter feed...

IMO, place it in a low-medium flow area.. cos too strong the flow, the tentacles cannot fully extend..

maybe u would like to state the wattage of ur PL light and the depth of ur tank so we can visualise more...

ur clown may be taking the jwel as a host.. jus give the jwel some time to adapt.. try not to disturb it too often and it will soon be used to the clown taking it as host..

elagance feed market prawn if u like.. :D

cheers

I don't think LPS filter feed phyto from the water column.

Considering that they had expended energy to make their polyps so big, it is so that they can capture zooplankton ;)

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

To me, you will be unique in all the world.

To you, I shall be unique in all the world...

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.
