Forgotten all about this little guy... introduced this Ghost Pipefish 3 days ago... been feeding well on live mysis... interesting fellow :)

I filled the tank with some Live Mysis I manage to find the day before I leave for my trip... but in the long run... I really need to find a solution ;)

I have one doubt regards to Arctica mini installed inside the cabinet of the RSM.

Will it kick in very frequent (work to hard) and produce excess heat inside the cabinet?

Since Arctica Mini max is 160L so it's possible to cool down the water temperature to 25~26 degree for 34g RSM effectively?

Hope you can advice b4 i making wrong decision.

Hi there

1) Putting the Arctica inside the cabinet will definitely result in lesser effectiveness unless you have a way to channel the heated air away.

2) Why do you need such a low temperature? Intending to keep SPS? The Mini Arctica will kick in within a range of only 0.5ºC (not 1ºC). For sustainability sake, you can set it at 26ºC (kick in at 26.5ºC). Personally I find the Mini Arctica quite sufficient for this tank.

He has switched to Freshwater oredi...

1ft cube with IOS [the low tech tank]

1. JBJ C-breeze to keep temp hovering around 27-28'C

2. LED clip on - 120 bulbs

-skimmer-less-

My 3 humble equipments that keeps my tank running... [DRIED OUT]

1. The RSM itself of course 2.My NEW Deltec MCE-300 Skimmer 3. My trusty Arctica Chiller

Tank parameters:

Temperature maintained at 25.3'C to 24.7'C

No3: 10ppm(b4 the use of the deltec skimmer)

No3: 5ppm (after use of the skimmer)

Others? too lazy to measure...LOL

Camera- EOS 50D
