This is not a monti.

I looked it up in Jen Veron's "Corals of the World" and found a close similarity and description to Echinophyllia aspera from the family Pectiniidae.

Corallites have toothed rather than headed costae and red is a common colour for this species. Colonies are encrusting laminae. Central parts maybe hillocky and submassive while peripheral parts may be contorted or form whorls and tiers.

Water parameters are all stable and good. Only problem is the algae bloom but expect all the sequestered nutrients to be depleted by the zeovit filtration sooner or later.

Have reduced the zeostart2 dosage and may lower it some more from this weekend to lessen the bubble algae.
