Its a DIY project my friend did.

The maxijet pump is meant for the chiller.

Cant fit in the back compartment because of its size and the location,

otherwise the chiller temp reading would not be accurate.

i would say its a pretty neat tank for a newbie like me ,

its almost "plug & play" type.

But there is a perennial problem ,

which are those fine bubbles from the powerheads,

most probably escaped from the skimmer.

This is actually a revised model, newer than those launched in UK last year.

The previous batches had really big issue with the bubbles,

hence they "rectified" it with a new coupling on the skimmer pump,

but somehow the effect of the bubbles had not been eliminated but rather reduced

Asthetically, its a pull for guy like me.

Its neat in concealing those pippings and cables,

not too bad. As for the price, its quite attractive.

But if you know where to shop,

you might find a good price difference of $200

The entire package is really skewed towards lazy bum like myself,

throwing in a started kit complete with reef sand, salt and test kits.

There is not much room for "upgrades", so your pretty much stuck with it.

Got mine on that fateful day, 12 May 07.

Just make sure that your skimmer pump is fitted with a blue coupling plate.

This was their solution which it did not eliminate the problem.

As i checked with my fellow reefer,

same model (newly-revised) and still the same bubble issue.
