I've not tested mine for a long time oredi.

Previously when I just started marine, I trial & error with different brands of "reputatable" salts. In the end still stick with Marine Environment.

When i used to test ME salt, used to consistently get 1350-1400 level.

Just wondering if anyone tested their magnesium level for Marine Environment salt?

I tested it with Salifert test kit and it read about 1800ppm of Magnesium.

thanks :)

My experience with ME :

Marine Environment at a salinity of 35 ppm. / specific gravity of 1.025-1.026 has 1300-1350 ppm of magnesium.

For those testing with significantly higher results... I suggest that you first learn your HONEST specific gravity.

and A quality refractometer...

Once the HONEST specific gravity is learned, then use a quality Mg test kit.

High levels of Mg in ME... are you using RO or RO/DI water... or using tap water that might contain Mg?

Used ME for 4 years..never once measured it above 1350
