Terryz_
For red sea salt, Solubility is poor and leave residue after dissolving... As for the parameter, i have never tested for it though.. I have been using, Instant Ocean and Oceanic for top up and for new tank, i will use Coralife.. Quote Member of:

thedidavid
I was using ME salt by Aquacraft before but I find this salt bit strange, it tends to give milky colour water and it won't clear until 24 hours. Now using Coral Pro slat from Red Sea, I found this slat is better in term giving clear salt water after intense stirring. Parameter wise is very close, Ca is around 440 when I tested. I will test the Mg when I do next water change for my tank. Quote RED SEA MAX - BLACK, JBJ ARCTICA DBA-075, HYDOR PRIME 30, VORTECH MP10
SRC Member angelfishlover Posted September 12, 2007 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 12, 2007 Sorry my mg reading should be low cause my swing arm hydrometer dun work properly then i bought a floating type is way too salty .That is why mg so high. gny
Red Sea salt was first used for my LPS tank. OK for me except its solubility is a bit poor. Need to stir more to make it completely dissolved. Currently using Oceanic. Dissolving it is a breeze
SRC Member angelfishlover Posted October 9, 2007 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 9, 2007 For me i think oceanic is not so safe.I guess TM or ME is the best choice.
Jameshong
For me i think oceanic is not so safe.I guess TM or ME is the best choice. I have been using Oceanic since 2005, so far so good. I have also used ME b4 switch to Oceanic, personnally i feel that nothing special and it's troublesome to mix the 2 liquid when preparing for water change . TM nvr used b4 so no comment.
