cauliflower

Bought this last week.

i know its a very hard to keep coral.

can anyone suggest any reason why one is opening and the other is closed?

the closed cauliflower have been shrinked up for 3 days already.

the opened cauliflower have opened since i shifted it to a good flow location.

what do you think is wrong?

the closed one is melting. do i need to remove it? just need to cut it off?

just cut away and leave a bit.and then if never cut will add to nitrate ammonia and nitrite when melt away.if can safe it will grow bigger from that small bit:)

Did you feed them? They need to be fed.

It is probably declining rapidly.

From experience, a tiny new sprout will grow & survive better than a big piece. But up to a certain size, it will decline again because the captive reef tank cannot sustain this species' needs.
